As fitness instructors, educators and moms to (collectively) five young children, Nicky and Mariana have firsthand experience into the challenges facing women trying to take care of themselves. Whether your schedule feels too full, your time doesn't feel it is your own, or you just don't know how to start living a healthier life, we've got you! It is our goal to help you find life-long wellness: mind, body and soul through mindful movement. Whatever stage of life you are in, we will help you find balance and achieve your own unique wellness goals within the time and space you have!
Mariana Nunley
Founder, Owner and Instructor
Mariana considers her most important job to be "Mom." However, in addition to raising her 4 kids, Mariana is a Certified Barre Instructor, life-long athlete and Special Education Coach and Consultant. Combining her leadership experience as an educational coach with her passion for and knowledge in health and fitness, Mariana began teaching Barre-style classes in 2018.
After teaching at 4 different studios, it became clear to Mariana that women need a place to workout that is more flexible, more inclusive and less time consuming. Simply put, we need meaningful movement that can be fit into our busy lives and empower us to be our strongest selves.
Mariana founded Align & Define in 2020 when the world shut down due to the pandemic and many women were looking for a safe way to connect and stay active. It has since transformed into a community of strong, positive-minded women from various walks of life. While business ownership can sometimes be intimidating, Mariana is honored to have the opportunity to lead these women through movement every day.
Nicky Adamian
Instructor, Director of Digital Marketing
Nicky has been involved in the barre industry for about 5 years now; but during the pandemic she truly found her passion for barre and decided to that now would be a great opportunity to pursue her teacher training. Nicky has also worked as a nanny for 10 years and has expertly weaved her knowledge and skill set as a childcare provider into her work as an instructor at Align & Define. As a new mom herself, Nicky felt as though a class designed specifically for moms with babies would be a great place to start, so she jumped right into teaching with the Mama & Me classes, combining both of her passions. Nicky's vast knowledge and understanding of social media and the digital world have made her instrumental in developing Align & Define's online presence.
